A Doggy Valentine

Happy Valentine's Day!!  (From me and Jaz!)  :D

For me, Valentine's Day isn't about whether you have a significant other in your life.

For me, it's about showing and telling your friends and family that you love and care about them.  

For me, it still has the same youthful innocence of when I passed out kiddie valentines to all my classmates in elementary school.  I still do buy those kid valentines to give to my friends that live near me.

But this year, I decided to make one for all my online friends.  :)   So- here's a pic of Jaz- asking you to be her Valentine.  That's the great thing about dogs.  They just love everybody.  (at least Jaz does.)

I think there's a lesson to be learned here.  Share your love.  Be friendly to everyone- even total strangers.  You will make a difference in their day, and maybe their life.  :)

#Dogs are Family.

The fact that I consider dogs to be part of my family should not come as a surprise to anyone that knows me!!  

This is one of my most favorite pictures ever.  My two favorite things- kids and dogs.  :)

Jasmine's favorite sleeping position- upside down on my bed.  Sometimes Jaz talks in her sleep.  She makes little "woof" sounds- which sound more like "uff".  But every time I try to turn on my video camera to record it, she wakes up.  Maybe one of these days I'll capture it!

Sometimes Jasmine has "playdates" over at her cousin's house.  I don't have a big backyard, so I take Jaz over there to run around.  She loves it!  

Jasmine loves to go with me anywhere she can.  Somehow she knows the difference between going on a car ride around town, and when we're traveling somewhere big.  (Like when we went to LA for that audition, or if we're flying somewhere to be on TV.)  She normally gets excited when we go somewhere.  But she gets super excited when we're going on a trip.  (I think she knows the difference because I'm usually packing her props if we're going on a trip. (To use for her tricks.)   That's how she knows something's up!

Remember how I've been watching Subaru dog commercials lately?  To see if I can train Jasmine to do the tricks in them?  (to put on her resume?)   This one would be easy!    http://bit.ly/XBvlE5

They are making some fun apps on their Facebook page.  (Like making a driver's licence for your dog.)  I totally am going to make one of these for Jasmine!!   http://subar.us/USzh6V

Although- if Jaz DOES get a license... there will be no stopping her!!  She's already known on YouTube as the shopping dog!!!  LOL

Furry little dog on the news today! (it was postponed)

False Alarm!  For those of you who watched the news yesterday expecting to see Jasmine...(including myself)...  she wasn't on!

 I thought maybe her dog tricks had got bumped for more important news.  But the producer emailed me and said they were having technical difficulties.  So... they are going to air it today!  

If you live in Arizona, be sure to watch ABC, channel 15 today during the 11 am newscast.  And you'll hopefully see Jasmine's new trick video!  :)

Short, furry assistant made the news- in AZ!

Well, now it's Arizona's turn! 

This MONDAY, AUG. 20th Jasmine is going to be on the news in AZ!  So be sure to watch the news on ABC- Channel 15 at 11:00 am if you want to see a short, furry Canine Personal Assistant do her new tricks!

Best Video Award Winner! :D

It's going to feel like Christmas in July when I post this... but there's a reason!

At the BlogPaws pet social media convention, Jasmine was nominated for a "Nose-to-Nose" award... for "Best Video on a Blog".

And she won!!  (Which caught me off-guard, considering the popularity of the other entries!)  The videos were judged not only on technical merits, but also on creativity and originality. It was so exciting!   We got to pick a shelter or rescue group to donate 5,000 meals to!!  (That's the best part!)   So we picked the Arizona Animal Welfare League.  It's one of Arizona's oldest and largest shelters.

This is a new trick she just learned.  (How to put her paw on something and hold still for a picture.)

Here's my sweet pup.  Because of her funny little trick videos... we were able to help out a shelter by giving them 5,000 meals from Halo and FreeKibble.  How cool is that??  I am sometimes amazed at all the paths this sweet little pup has taken me down.  Who knew?  

Anderson Cooper Show appearance!

Just found out Jasmine is going to be on the Anderson Cooper show this coming Tues. April 10th!!   They are going to feature some clips from her recent "Dog Trick Resume" video!  :D  

A friend recommended Jaz's trick videos to them, and I gave them permission to show them.  But now, after reading the episode bio, I find out it's about Extreme Pet Owners!   :P   So.... I'm really curious if they are going to portray trick training in a positive or negative light.  I guess I'll find out!!  


The way I see it, it's like training for a sport.  Yes, it takes up a lot of my time (which might be considered extreme), but Jasmine LOVES to do it.  And we have fun with it.  We volunteer at the hospital -showing off Jaz's tricks.  She does commercials and photo shoots.  She loves it.   So- maybe that does make me an extreme owner!  But- so be it!   Either way, I still think it's cool that she's going to be on the show!!  :D  http://www.andersoncooper.com/episodes/jack-wagner-newly-discovered-daughter-dwts-extreme-pet-owners/  

And that actually means Jaz is going to be on national TV twice this month!


I'm counting down the days until the "Who Let The Dogs Out" season finale on Animal Planet!  It airs Sat. April 21st!  :D    (Jasmine and I flew out to California to take part in this competition- they are looking for America's Most Talented Dog!)   We had soooo much fun!!!  :D    Now I can't wait to see the end result!!

Jasmine's new video made the news!

Jasmine's new Christmas video made the news!!

It's featured right now on the ABC 15 website.

And they said it might be airing today (Dec 26th) on the 3:00 or 4:00 newscast. (If it doesn't get bumped for real news!)

Pretty fun! I just barely uploaded that video on Saturday (Christmas Eve), and it's only been 2 days. But it's received over 4,300 views!! WOW!

Well, I hope you guys all had a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones.

If Jaz does end up making it on TV later today, I'll try to get a copy to share with you guys.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my friends and family!!

This is a picture of Toddy (Jasmine's cousin) begging for a bit of turkey! Don't worry, after we had our dinner, the dogs got some nibbles of a special treat. :)

Hope you all had a wonderful time with your loved ones (both human and furry). And remembered to count all the things you were thankful for. Trust me, it makes a difference.

Jaz is on NATIONAL TV tomorrow!!

Exciting News!!! Jasmine is going to be on National TV tomorrow! :D (Well, in 48 markets.)

If you live in AZ, it's going to be broadcast Fri on ABC 15 at 11:00 am.
If you live in WA, it's on Fri. at 9:00 am.
If you live in VA, it's on Fri. at 2:00 pm.
If you live in Tampa, FL- it's on at 1:00 AM! (Sorry Florida friends!!) ;)
